Kendriya Vidyalaya Birbhum was established in the year 2007 with the sole purpose of providing quality education to the children of Central/State employees posted in and around Siuri.  Autonomous (Central/State) & other floating population.  This Vidyalaya is a bilingual co-educational institution providing education from Class I to X and remains the only K.V. in the Birbhum District presently.  The Vidyalaya gives priority admission to all the wards of Central/Status Govt. employees & others as per admission Criteria.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Birbhum is among around other 950 K.Vs which run under the aegis of K.V.S. 18, Institutional Area, shaheed Jeet Singh Marg, New Delhi-16. KVS is an autonomous organization, well patroniszed by the Deptt. of Education, Ministry of HRD Govt. of India.  Region wise, it is controlled and guided by KVS Kolkata Region with its regional office at EB Block, Laboni, Sector-I, Salt lake, Kolkata-64.
